Hello everyone,
Long time no post but I've been pummelled with mock exams all week and so procrastinating was a no-go in the evenings sadly! But alas, I'm back! Just thought I'd set myself a challenge and begin to wither away my untouched products and keep my temptations at bay from purchasing more products... Here are my 'March Empties' - hope you enjoy!
1. BareMinerals Loose Powder Foundations, Mineral Veil and Concealer: After receiving this little set for Christmas (of which also came with a bronzer - I haven't even made a dent in that!) I completely changed my face routine and I'm now obsessed with BareMinerals. The products have worked wonders on my face, the covered is medium really but importantly, it's buildable! The finish is so natural and gives you a glow (definitely not the dreaded cake-face or oily!). The concealer beneath the foundation hides blemishes and the natural minerals in the ingredients for me, have helped to diminish any fine lines or blemishes, reducing them in size dramatically. I absolutely LOVE the system and there's no doubt about it - I'm repurchasing!!
2. Batiste Dry Shampoo in Blush - Batiste is by far my favourite dry shampoo brand, it works and the scent and system lasts for hours on end. I bought this for a school trip where I stayed in the Peak District for a week and so this product was a must. The teeny tiny travel size lasted me the trip, I used it on days between washing my hair and shared it with the girls I stayed in a room with too - £1 well spent - thank you Boots! Repurchase? - Definitely, for 'just in case' situations!
3. Guinot Pure Balance Treatment Mask - After having a lovely facial I was given a few samples to try out and my beautician recommended this little product, not as a full mask but to dab on any oncoming blemishes or marks at night - go to sleep and wake up with the blemish reduced or even gone! Fair to say this product does exactly that! The formula is that of a regular face mask and the smell is to die for - think fresh flowers on the market smell! There is a downside however, the price! For a full size tube, around the 50-100ml mark it's around £20 or so - and seeing as this sample of 3ml lasted me at least 3/4 months, I'm thinking I might just cheekily ask for another sample!! Repurchase? - Maybe, or I'll just get another sample!
4. Simple Hydrating Light Moisturiser - I've used this literally for years, ever since I started to take care of my skin, around the 11/12 year old mark I've used the Simple range with no hiccups. Having quite sensitive skin, it's hard to find a good moisturiser that doesn't irritate your skin or is affordable (!) yet with no scents or harmful chemicals, the Simple range is ideal! I use this twice daily - after washing and toning my face, it soaks into my skin quickly and doesn't leave skin oily, nor does it leave dry patches of skin! Repurchase? Definitely, I already have a couple stored away as to not ruin my Simple skincare streak - and at he £1 - £2 mark who can say no!
Hope you enjoyed,
Georgie xoxo
